Carmen Radecki-Breitkopf, Ph.D. (HSR ’10), Department of Health Sciences Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was an invited lecturer at the 8th International Breast Density and Cancer Risk Assessment Workshop in San Francisco, California, in June 2017.

The title of her talk was “Communicating Risk and Density Information To Women.” The presentation addressed cancer risk communication and breast density notification as a form of risk communication, and described her ongoing NIMHD-funded clinical trial to evaluate methods of communicating breast density information to Hispanic women, for whom breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death.

The workshop attracted more than 100 individuals from around the world who are leading experts in breast cancer imaging and risk management modeling.

Dr. Radecki-Breitkopf also is a professor of health services research, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
