Conor Loftus, M.D.

Conor Loftus, M.D. (I ’01, GI ’04), Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, was named associate chair of the outpatient practice in the Department of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He also is an assistant professor of medicine.

His leadership experience includes serving as secretary for Officers and Councilors and holding practice leadership positions in GI, including practice chair, inpatient practice chair and community division chair.

In the associate chair role, Dr. Loftus will be responsible for helping set strategic direction and overseeing operations of the department’s outpatient practice. He succeeds John Schaffner, M.D. (GI ’98), who served in the role for the past nine years.
