Guillermo Ruiz-Arguelles, M.D. (HEM ’83), was granted the Honoris Causa Doctorate in Science by the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Dr. Ruiz-Arguelles is director general of Centro de Hematología y Medicina Interna, Clinica Ruiz in Puebla, México. He received the Mayo Clinic Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011 and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association.
