Guojun Bu, Ph.D., receives Method to Extend Research in Time Award from National Institute on Aging
Guojun Bu, Ph.D. (NSCI ’10), Department of Neuroscience at Mayo Clinic in Florida, has received a Method to Extend Research in Time Award from the National Institutes of Health. The award recognizes his outstanding record of scientific achievements as a principal investigator on National Institute on Aging research projects. Method to Extend Research in Time awards, which are given to only three researchers a year, offer up to 10 years of grant support.
Dr. Bu’s Neurobiology of Alzheimer’s Disease Lab in Florida has a track record of two decades of teasing apart the neurobiology of Alzheimers disease. His team focuses on understanding the cerebrovascular effects of Alzeimers and how the disease reduces the brain’s ability to clean out deposits of a sticky protein that is the main component of Alzeimers.
Dr. Bu is a professor of neuroscience at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
