Edward Rosenow III, M.D., receives 2017 Distinguished Emeritus Award
Edward Rosenow III, M.D. (I ’65), Mayo Clinic emeritus professor of medicine, received the 2017 Distinguished Emeritus Award from the Emeriti Staff in Rochester. The annual award recognizes efforts in education, academic productivity or humanitarian endeavors in retirement.
In presenting the award to Dr. Rosenow, who retired in 1996, Claire Bender, M.D. (I ’77, R-D ’80), president of the Mayo Clinic Emeriti Association in Rochester said: “He is recognized for his genuine, trusted and never-ending service to our community and to Mayo Clinic. He has provided 22 years of service at the Salvation Army Free Clinic, where he cared for many patients while teaching numerous medical students and residents. Dr. Rosenow also has contributed important messages to current and future generations of physicians on the art of medicine.”
