Kelly Pennington, M.D. (I ’17), a fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named a 2018 Kern Scholar by the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery. Dr. Pennington’s research focus is evaluation of antifungal prophylaxis in adult lung transplant recipients.
The Kern Scholars Program is available to clinically trained, doctoral-level Mayo Clinic fellows and junior faculty. The program prepares the next generation in health services research, leveraging the disciplines of social sciences including epidemiology, statistics and sociology.
