Angus J. Neary, M.D. (S ’55)

Died on Sunday, December 28, 2014, Angus J. Neary, a kind and attentive doctor, learned and brilliant surgeon. Predeceased by his parents, Edward J. and Muriel (Westcott) Neary, brothers George and Edward A. Neary and infant brother Harold. Leaving to mourn his sister Jean Roley (late husband Scotty), Athens, Georgia and brother David (Margot) St. John’s, as well as ten cherished nieces and nephews and their families. Dr. Neary greatly appreciated his patients, their families and the many friendships formed during his lengthy practice and would be honoured if they visit the funeral home to meet his family.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon; 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. Wednesday December 31 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service will be held on December 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm from The Carnell Memorial Chapel. Cremation to follow with burial at Belvedere Cemetery Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 am.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Dr. Neary’s memory may be made to Memorial University School of Medicine, or, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and will be included with Endowment Funds to be established in his name.
