Kristin Weber, M.D., named 2018 Kelly Visiting Professor, Mayo Clinic Department of Orthopedic Surgery

Kristin Weber, M.D. (ORONC ’98), chief of Orthopaedic Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, was named the 2018 Kelly Visiting Professor by the Mayo Clinic Department of Orthopedic Surgery on its biennial Patrick J. Kelly, M.D., Research Day in October.

Dr. Weber also is vice chair of Faculty Affairs for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and director of the Sarcoma Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center.

In 2020 Dr. Weber will become president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons — the first woman to hold that position in the organization’s 85-year history.
