Mayo Clinic-Karolinska Institutet travel awardees announced
The Mayo Clinic-Karolinska Institutet Collaboration has announced the recipients of the 2019 grant awards that will support travel for collaborative research, education or innovation projects. Collaborative Travel Awards support 14 individuals from Mayo who will travel to Stockholm, Sweden, to work with collaborative partners. Mayo Clinic will welcome seven Karolinska Institutet travelers in 2019. The intent is to build collaborative strength to be competitive in applying for future national or international research grants.
Immediate outcomes will include physician- and scientist-led collaborations in medicine, science and education; and multiple examples of student-directed research projects, publications and innovations in basic and disease-related research.
