Thaddeus Salter Rodda, 89, of Longboat Key, Florida, died on September 11, 2016, of heart failure following hip surgery. He was born January 23, 1927, to Sidney and May Salter Rodda. He graduated from the University of South Carolina as part of the Navy V12 program and served in the Navy Reserve. Following graduation from the University of Tennessee Medical School, he entered residency programs at the Mayo Clinic and in Coral Gables, Florida. He had a long career as a pathologist in Ft. Myers, Florida, and Clarksdale, Mississippi. Upon retirement, he moved to Longboat Key, Florida. He is survived by his sons and their families: Thad and Stephanie Rodda of Memphis, Warner and Debbie Rodda of Memphis, Howard and Julie Wolf-Rodda of Bethesda, Maryland, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
