Joy Wolfram, Ph.D., receives Nature Research Award for Inspiring Science

Joy Wolfram, Ph.D. (TRANM ’17), Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering, and Department of Transplantation Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida, was selected as one of the 10 people worldwide for the Nature Research Award for Inspiring Science. This award honors exceptional female scientists to encourage and inspire the next generation.

Dr. Wolfram’s team in the Nanomedicine and Extracellular Vesicles Laboratory has designed any preclinical nanoparticles to treat diseases. Her vision is to develop innovative nanomedicines that bring the next generation of cancer and regenerative treatments to the clinic.

Dr. Wolfram is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
