Mayo Clinic announces 2020 Advance the Practice Research Awards

Mayo Clinic announced recipients of the latest Advance the Practice Research Awards – projects designed to transform patient care. Medical need and commercial potential were key criteria in their selection along with readiness for translation, impact on clinical practice, and strength of the research team and collaborators.

Advance the Practice Reserach Awards are offered by the Mayo Clinic Office of Translation to Practice in collaboration with Mayo Clinic Ventures, Cardiovascular Research Center in Rochester, departments of Neurology and Neuroscience in Florida, and Department of Cardiovascular Diseases in Arizona. Since its inception in 2018, the Advance the Practice Research Awards has funded 41 innovative projects across the Mayo Clinic enterprise.
