Peter Noseworthy, M.D., receives NIH R01 funding for project
Peter Noseworthy, M.D. (CV ’13), Division of Heart Rhythm Services at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received NIH R01 funding for the project “Optimizing Stroke Prevention for Older Adults with Atrial Fibrillation: Toward Rigorous Evaluation and Judicious Application of a New Device.” The objective of the project, which is in conjunction with Xiaoxi Yao, Ph.D. (HSR ’15), is to address the evidence gaps and develop new prediction tools to optimize the use of Watchman for AF stroke prevention.
Dr. Noseworthy is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
