Dr. H. Royden Jones 76, of Wellesley passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.

Royden worked for over 40 years at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where he held the Jaime Ortiz-Patio Chair of Neurology, and 35 years at Boston Children’s Hospital; he was also Clinical Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School.

Royden was the beloved husband of Mary Norman Jones. Loving father of H. Roy Jones of Fairport, NY; Kate Jones Troy of New York, NY, and London, England, and her husband James Troy; Fred N. Jones of Gilford, NH, and his wife Kristin Snow; and David S. Jones of Waban, MA, and his wife Elizabeth Caronna. Cherished grandfather of Erik, Kristin, Kendall, Sam, and Natalie. Devoted brother of Nancy G. Jones of Miami Lakes, FL.

Royden loved his family, especially spending time with them and his dogs in the summer at Moosehead Lake in Maine. He also enjoyed photography, teaching, research, writing, painting, and travelling.

A memorial service was held at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church, 2 Central Street in Wellesley Square, on Saturday, June 22nd , at 11am with relatives and friends in attendance.
