Anjali Bhagra, M.D., named medical director, Mayo Clinic Office of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity

Anjali Bhagra, M.D. (I1 ’05, I ’08), Division of General Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named medical director of Mayo Clinic’s Office of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. This office is Mayo Clinic’s center of excellence for innovative solutions to engage diverse talent, build inclusive leaders, and promote a culture of equity and inclusivity.

Dr. Bhagra is the diversity leader within the Division of General Internal Medicine. She also is the physician leader responsible for operational planning and implementation of Rochester’s plan as part of Mayo Clinic’s commitment against racism.

Dr. Bhagra succeeds Sharonne Hayes, M.D. (I ’86, CV ’90), Division of Preventive Cardiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

Dr. Bhagra is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
