Patricia Pellikka, M.D., receives funding from Mayo Clinic Ultrasound Research Center Pilot Grants program

Patricia Pellikka, M.D. (MED ’83, I ’86, CV ’89), Division of Cardiovascular Ultrasound at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Division of Heart Rhythm Services at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received funding from the Mayo Clinic Ultrasound Research Center Pilot Grants program for “Artificial Intelligence for Echocardiographic Detection of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.” She and her co-investigator will apply machine learning to previously performed transthoracic echocardiograms to develop an automated means of diagnosing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Dr. Pellikka is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
