Aminah Jatoi M.D., is chair, Mayo Clinic Academic Appointments and Promotions Committee

Aminah Jatoi M.D. (ONCL ’98), Division of Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named chair of the Academic Appointments and Promotions Committee (AAPC).

Dr. Jatoi will be responsible for promoting academic advancement across Mayo Clinic. Dr. Jatoi is a staunch supporter of diversity and will partner with the Office for Equity, Inclusion and Diversity and the Office for Education Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and division and department leaders to formulate strategies and activities that target academic advancement at all sites and across all shields.

Dr. Jatoi succeeds Robert Spinner, M.D. (MDPH ’89, NS ’00), chair of the Department of Neurologic Surgery, as chair of the AAPC.

Dr. Jatoi is a professor of oncology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
