Rory Smoot, M.D., receives IDEA award from Department of Defense

Rory Smoot, M.D. (MED ’05, S ’08, CI ’10, S ’12), Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, has been awarded an IDEA award by the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. This three-year grant is for the proposal entitled “Nanovesicle Mediated Targeting of YAP in Cholangiocarcinoma to Enhance Sensitivity.”

Dr. Smoot is an associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology and surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
