Mayo Clinic and ASU announce 2021 seed grant winners
Since 2005, Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University (ASU) have provided seed funding to new interdisciplinary and translational joint research projects.
By launching novel research on a small scale, researchers have been able to attract funding for larger studies that may make a significant impact in their fields and improve patient care. The projects draw on the strengths of each institution, with each team including a researcher from ASU and one from Mayo Clinic.
This year Mayo Clinic and ASU will fund five proposals at $80,000 each. The Fred C. and Katherine B. Andersen Foundation and Mayo Clinic Cancer Center will fund two more proposals for $100,000 each.
