Mahfouz El Shahawy, M.D., receives Lifetime Achievement Award Citation from city of Sarasota, Florida

Mahfouz El Shahawy, M.D. (I ’71), president of the Cardiovascular Center of Sarasota, Florida, received the Lifetime Achievement Award Citation from the city of Sarasota for contributing to the practice of medicine and cardiology over a lifetime in Sarasota along with other achievements. Feb. 4, 2022, was named Dr. El Shahawy Day in Sarasota. Dr. El Shahawy also was named one of the 2022 Doctors of Distinction by Sarasota Scene Magazine.
