Jessica Austin, Ph.D. (QHS ’21), receives an award, Mayo Clinic Arizona

Jessica Austin, Ph.D. (QHS ’21), Department of Quantitative Health Sciences at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received a Developmental Research Program award from the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) for the project “CARE: Cancer Risk Perception and Women of Color.” The Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer SPORE Developmental Research Program awards are given for innovative laboratory, population and clinical study proposals that include interdisciplinary collaboration and demonstrate the potential to generate new hypotheses that can be tested in larger-scale research projects or clinical trials. Dr. Austin is an assistant professor of epidemiology in the  Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
