Jessica Lancaster, Ph.D. (IMM ’19), Department of Immunology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received a Developmental Research Program award from the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) for the project “Role of macrophages in modulating immunotherapy outcomes against breast cancer metastasis to the lymph nodes.” The Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer SPORE Developmental Research Program awards are given for innovative laboratory, population and clinical study proposals that include interdisciplinary collaboration and demonstrate the potential to generate new hypotheses that can be tested in larger-scale research projects or clinical trials. Dr. Lancaster is an assistant professor of immunology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
