Roberto Leon Ferre, M.D. (HEMO ’17), received a Developmental Research Program award from the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) for the project “Determine the Mechanisms of DNMT Inhibitor Effect on Anti- PD-L1 Treatment.” The Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer SPORE Developmental Research Program awards are given for innovative laboratory, population and clinical study proposals that include interdisciplinary collaboration and demonstrate the potential to generate new hypotheses that can be tested in larger-scale research projects or clinical trials. Dr. Leon Ferre is an assistant professor of oncology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
