Gianluca Cipriani, Ph.D. (GI ’15), Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Fundamental Mechanisms of Aging Award from the Mayo Clinic Robert and Arlene Kogod Center on Aging for the project “Piezo1 Is an Aging Facilitator That Converts Gut Age-Related Stiffening Into Broad Phenotypic and Functional Shifts.” He is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
