Young Erben, M.D. (S ’13, VASS ’15), Division of Vascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Florida, received a Research Accelerator for Clinicians Engaged in Research Program (RACER+) Award for her study “Proteomic and Lipidomic Analysis of Atherosclerotic Plaques.” The Research Accelerator for Clinicians Engaged in Research Plus (RACER+) program is an extension of the original RACER program targeting previous awardees in order to create sustainable research programs for clinicians engaged in research. This competitive renewal program allows for the most successful RACER awardees to continue their work for an additional year. Dr. Erben is an associate professor of surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
