Marjan Jahani Kondori, M.D. (FMM ’23), named Resident of the Year, Mayo Clinic Rochester
Marjan Jahani Kondori, M.D. (FMM ’23), Department of Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named the 2023 Family Medicine Resident of the Year by the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians. She is a recent graduate of Mayo Clinic’s Family Medicine Residency program in Mankato. Dr. Jahani Kondori’s efforts focus on the promotion of oral health and medical-dental integration. She has advocated addressing the oral health gap, specifically in rural Minnesota, through comprehensive integrated care at the Minnesota State Capitol and was featured in the PBS documentary “Uncovered: Minnesota’s Dental Crisis.” During her family medicine residency, Dr. Jahani Kondori also participated in the University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Residency Advocacy Cohort, helped launch the precepting through social justice series, and began a social justice book club at the Mankato residency program. Following the completion of her family medicine residency, Dr. Jahani Kondori will continue to see patients in Mankato with Mayo Clinic Health System and continue her work with the Greater Mankato Health Equity Partnership.
