Tina Hieken, M.D. (S ’11), new vice-chair, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Tina Hieken, M.D. (S ’11), Division of Breast and Melanoma Surgical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, will serve as the new vice-chair of the Cancer Surgery Standards Program, with a term start date of October 2023. Dr. Hieken is medical director of Quality & Accreditation, Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. She has served as chair of the CSSP Surgical Information Transformation Committee since 2020 and has overseen the development and publication of the CSSP cancer surgery protocols. Dr. Hieken is a professor of surgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
