Richard Sharp, Ph.D. (HSR ’13), Department of Quantitative Health Sciences at Mayo Clinic, received a 2023 Collaborative Research Seed Grant Program in the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University Alliance for Health Care for the project “Characterizing Healthcare Provider and Patient Experiences With Implementing Genomic Medicine in a Federally Qualified Health Center.” With the goal of advancing research, improving patient care and reshaping medical education, the alliance’s seed grant program provides fertile ground for research on a small scale, with the potential to attract funding for larger studies that can significantly improve patient care. Dr. Sharp is the Lloyd A. and Barbara A. Amundson Professor of Biomedical Ethics Honoring Paul S. Mueller, M.D., and a professor of biomedical ethics and medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
