Sharonne Hayes, M.D. (I ’86, CV ’90), received an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Sharonne Hayes, M.D. (I ’86, CV ’90), Division of Preventive Cardiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received the 2023 American Heart Association Laennec Clinician/Educator Lecture Award. The Laennec Lecture is presented annually at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions. Honorees are selected by the Council on Clinical Cardiology leadership and are invited to present a lecture on a topic of their choice. Dr. Hayes presented “Patient-Initiated Research & Crowdsourced Science Meet Academic Medicine: The Story of SCAD Research.” Dr. Hayes is a professor of cardiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
