Martin Fernandez-Zapico, M.D. (GI ’02), received an award, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Martin Fernandez-Zapico, M.D. (GI ’02), Division of Oncology Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a 2024 CCaTS-CBD Pilot Awards for Team Science from the Mayo Clinic Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) and the Center for Biomedical Discovery (CBD) for the project “Protein Degradation as a Novel Therapeutic Strategy for KRAS-Mutant Colorectal Cancer.” The goal of the awards is to enhance team science and develop clinical-basic partnerships in projects that have potential to impact clinical practice at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Fernandez-Zapico is a professor of medicine and pharmacology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
