Robin Patel, M.D. (I ’92, INFD ’95, CM ’96), voting member, Presidential Advisory Council

Robin Patel, M.D. (I ’92, INFD ’95, CM ’96), Division of Clinical Microbiology and the Elizabeth P. and Robert E. Allen Professor of Individualized Medicine at Mayo Clinic, was appointed to serve as a voting member on the Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria. The council provides advice, information, and recommendations to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services on fighting antimicrobial resistance in human, animal and environmental health. Council members have expertise from backgrounds, including academia, industry, public health, advocacy, veterinary and agricultural production. Dr. Patel is a professor of medicine and microbiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
