Charles Howe, Ph.D.

Charles “Chuck” Howe, Ph.D. (N ’03), is the current director of the Research Office of Core Shared Services. Dr. Howe succeeded Matthew Ferber, Ph.D. (MBIO ’03, CMG ’05), who stepped into the newly created role in 2021. Along with Kristine Williams, operations administrator for Core Shared Services, Dr. Howe is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of core services under the direction of Gregory Gores, M.D. (I ’83, GI ’86), Kinney Executive Dean of Research. Dr. Howe currently serves as the inaugural chair of the Division of Experimental Neurology, Department of Neurology, and directs the Translational Neuroimmunology Lab.
