Nelson Leung, M.D.

Nelson Leung, M.D. (I ’97, NEPH ’00), is now the David L. and Colleen B. Kessenich Professor of Multiple Myeloma. Dr. Leung is a consultant in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, with a joint appointment in the Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. Leung researches kidney diseases caused by monoclonal gammopathy and, in particular, improving current diagnostic techniques and redefining response criteria in patients. He treats patients in the Onco-Nephrology Clinic and those diagnosed with multiple myeloma and Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia. Dr. Leung succeeds Martha Lacy, M.D. (HEMO ’95).
