Eric Klee, Ph.D.

Eric Klee, Ph.D. (QHS ’05), has been selected as the scientific director of Research Data and Digital Innovation at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Klee is a professor of biomedical informatics and the Everett J. and Jane M. Hauck Midwest Associate Director, Research and Innovation, Center for Individualized Medicine. Dr. Klee is tasked with ensuring that Research data and digital priorities, organization and investments align with Research shield priorities. His team will integrate and scale innovations across the Mayo Clinic Research ecosystem. Dr. Klee will report directly to Vijay Shah, M.D. (GI ’98), Kinney Executive Dean of Research, and work with other leaders to support the Research shield in leveraging digital applications and data. Dr. Klee succeeds Daryl “D.J.” Kor, M.D. (I1 ’02, ANES ’05, CCMA ’06, CTSA ’14), who served as the inaugural leader in this space.
