Vladimir Parpura, M.D.

Vladimir Parpura, M.D. (PHYS ’96), has been elected as the treasurer of the International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN). Dr. Parpura is a distinguished professor and director at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in Zhejiang, China. Dr. Parpura has a long-standing history of active involvement in the activities of ISN and its sister societies. He was the 25th president of the American Society for Neurochemistry (ASN); he signed the first memorandum of understanding between ISN and ASN in an effort to build stronger ties between sister societies. Parpura served on the ISN Council and six committees, chaired ISN Conference Committee, and served on the Task Force that developed strategies for reaching underrepresented neurochemistry communities.
