Michael Yaszemski, M.D., Ph.D.

Michael Yaszemski, M.D., Ph.D. (OR ’96), Mayo Clinic Department of Orthopedic Surgery, has been selected to The National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine). He is a professor of biomedical engineering, professor of orthopedics, director of Mayo’s Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials Laboratory, and deputy director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Yaszemski also is a retired Air Force brigadier general who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
