Steven D. Waldman, M.D., J.D serves as Vice Dean – Strategic Initiatives and Chair of the Department Medical Humanities and Bioethics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He holds joint academic appointments as Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Professor of Medical Humanities and Bioethics. The author of 52 textbooks and numerous academic articles on the specialty of interventional pain management, ultrasound, and medical education, Dr. Waldman also continues his clinical work as an interventional pain management physician as well as an active member of the medical staff at Truman Medical Center and Mosaic Life Care.
