Call for Nominations for 2015 Alumni Awards
The Mayo Clinic Alumni Association seeks nominations for three separate alumni awards. While the deadline for nominations is the same for all three (March 1, 2015), each has its own nomination form and criteria.
The Mayo Clinic Distinguished Alumni Award
This award was established in 1981 by the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees as a way for Mayo Clinic to honor exceptional contributions by Mayo alumni/alumnae in the field of medicine including the areas of medical practice, research, education and administration. Individuals nominated for this recognition should be nationally or internationally recognized in their respective fields. Mayo Clinic Distinguished Alumni Awards will be presented on Monday, November 2, 2015, at a formal dinner at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Get the nomination form or see a list of past recipients here.
The Professional Achievement Award
This award is bestowed by the Alumni Association and acknowledges significant contributions by an alumnus or alumna from Mayo Clinic. This award is intended to recognize the accomplishments of individuals who contribute in an exceptional manner to the care of patients or participate in research endeavors or educational or administrative commitments. The Professional Achievement Award will be presented on Friday, October 16, 2015, at a formal dinner at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, Scottsdale, Arizona. The Humanitarian Award
This award is bestowed by the Alumni Association and acknowledges significant contributions by an alumnus or alumna of Mayo Clinic to the welfare of a community, country or humanity, beyond any volunteer service to Mayo. This award is intended to recognize the significant contributions of individuals who enrich the lives of people through service to the community in the areas of public health or public service. The Humanitarian Award will be presented on Friday, October 16, 2015, at a formal dinner at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, Scottsdale, Arizona.
