Cesar Gonzalez, Ph.D., receives 2018 Mayo Fellows’ Association Humanitarian Award
The Mayo Fellows’ Association announced the recipient of its 2018 Humanitarian Award, Cesar Gonzalez, Ph.D., L.P. (P ’14).
The award recognizes a member of the Mayo Clinic community who has made significant and enduring contributions to humanity through charitable activities, indigent care, community service or other humanitarian projects. Nominees are selected by residents.
Dr. Gonzalez has joint appointments in the departments of Psychiatry and Family Medicine as a clinical psychologist. He works directly with residents as a preceptor and wellness champion. He also provides collaborative care for sexual- and gender-diverse patients at Mayo. He volunteers his time at the Center Clinic in Dodge Center, providing free counseling services to underserved and underinsured Hispanic clients.
