Megan Allyse, Ph.D., receives NIH K-01 training grant
Megan Allyse, Ph.D. (HSR ’15), Department of Health Sciences Research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was awarded a five-year, $850,000 NIH K-01 training grant to examine “Factors Influencing Access and Utilization of Genetic Prenatal Care Services Among Women from Underserved Populations.”
The funding will allow her to conduct research with African-American and Latina women to better understand their views about prenatal genetic testing and its role in reducing health disparities.
Dr. Allyse is an assistant professor of biomedical ethics in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
