Alfredo Clavell, M.D., appointed as medical director of LVAD/Heart Transplant Program, Mayo Clinic Rochester
Alfredo Clavell, M.D. (I ’91, CV ’93, CV ’96), Division of Circulatory Failure, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was appointed as the new medical director of the LVAD/Heart Transplant Program — a joint appointment in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Transplant Center.
Dr. Clavell has been associate director of the Heart Transplant Center since 2007. He replaces Sudhir Kushwaha, M.D. (CV ’00), as medical director of the LVAD/Heart Transplant Program.
Dr. Clavell is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
