Amy Pollak, M.D. (CV ’12), chair, Division of Cardiac Subspecialties at Mayo Clinic in Florida, is co-chair of the National Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) National Action Plan. The goals of the plan are to increase the visibility of peripheral artery disease by increasing public awareness, providing professional education, improving detection and treatment, reducing amputations, fostering research and energizing advocacy efforts on behalf of patients suffering from PAD. Dr. Pollak is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
