Anthony Ritaccio, M.D., receives Distinguished Alumnus Award from Albany Medical College Alumni Association

Anthony Ritaccio, M.D. (N ’18), Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Florida, received the 2019 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Albany Medical College Alumni Association for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of epilepsy treatment and brain mapping. The award honors alumni who have earned national recognition for outstanding leadership in health care. Dr. Ritaccio also presented the Distinguished Alumnus Lecture, “Finding Function and Eloquence: An Exploration Across Three Centuries,” in which he discussed the history of and most recent research related to high-frequency electrocorticographic brain mapping.
