Arthur Beyder, M.D., Ph.D. (I ’10, CI ’12, GI ’14), Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, received a Fundamental Mechanisms of Aging Award from the Mayo Clinic Robert and Arlene Kogod Center on Aging for the project “Piezo1 Is an Aging Facilitator That Converts Gut Age-Related Stiffening Into Broad Phenotypic and Functional Shifts.” Dr. Beyder is an associate professor of medicine and physiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
