Aziza Nassar, M.D., named chair, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Mayo Clinic Florida

Aziza Nassar, M.D. (PATH ’07), is the new chair of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida. She succeeds Andras Khoor, M.D., Ph.D. (SGPA ’97), who had been chair since 2006. Dr. Nassar joined the Mayo Clinic staff in Rochester in 2007 and moved to the Florida campus in 2013. She is recognized for her expertise in cytopathology and breast pathology.

Dr. Nassar is a professor of laboratory medicine and pathology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
