Brad Karon, M.D., Ph.D., is new chair of Division of Clinical Core Laboratory Services, Mayo Clinic Rochester

Brad Karon, M.D., Ph.D. (LABM ’04), is the new chair of the Division of Clinical Core Laboratory Services (CCLS) in the Department of Laboratory and Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester effective Sept. 16, 2019. He succeeds Allan Jaffe, M.D. (CV ’99), who served as division chair since 2008.

Dr. Karon also is program director of the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency Program and associate dean for Academic Affairs in Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Karon is a professor of laboratory medicine and pathology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
