Brian Shapiro, M.D., named Florida Heart Researcher of the Year by Florida Chapter of American College of Cardiology
Brian Shapiro, M.D. (I ’05, CI ’07, CV ’09, CV-EC ’10), Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Mayo Clinic in Florida, was named Florida Heart Researcher of the Year by the Florida Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
Each year, in collaboration with the Florida Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, Florida Heart Research Foundation recognizes the Heart Researcher of the Year. A grant is awarded to an individual within the state whose research is felt to have had the broadest impact on the advancement of knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Shapiro is an associate professor of medicine.
