Bruce Horazdovsky, Ph.D. (BMB ’02), is now deputy director, Cancer Education, Training and Mentoring and leader of the Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) Core in the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center (MCCCC). Dr. Horazdovsky will lead the MCCCC institution-wide and regional efforts in cancer education and training and will build a team that will include site directors, an internal advisory committee comprised of an interdisciplinary cross-section of departments, disease groups, and educational tracks, and related education and training subcommittees. Under his guidance, the team will develop new strategies to engage education, training, and mentoring as well as evaluate, measure and report current and future MCCCC cancer education and training activities across the learner continuum from high school through continuing faculty development. Dr. Horazdovsky is an associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
