Channa Jayasekera, M.D., Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Mayo Clinic in Arizona

Channa Jayasekera, M.D. (GI ’21), Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Mayo Clinic in Arizona, received a 2022-2023 Mayo Clinic Investment for Extramural Grants Award (MEGA) for his project: “Fenofibrate to Prevent Ischemic Cholangiopathy in Donation After Circulatory Death Liver Transplantation (FICsDCD).” MEGA is an intramural investment mechanism to provide pilot support to junior Mayo Clinic faculty on the Arizona campus who plan to pursue subsequent funding through competitive extramural mechanisms. Dr. Jayasekera is an assistant professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
