Charanjit Rihal, M.D., is chair, Mayo Clinic People and Culture Committee

Charanjit Rihal, M.D. (I ’89, CV ’93), Division of Structural Heart Disease at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, was named chair of the Mayo Clinic People and Culture Committee. Dr. Rihal will create and oversee strategies and operational plans to attract, retain and engage staff. He will oversee the medical directors of Leadership and Workforce Development, as well as the Mayo Clinic Personnel Committee; Office of Equity, Inclusion and Diversity; and Office of Professionalism and Values. Dr. Rihal succeeds Steven Buskirk, M.D. (RADO ’83), chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Florida.

Dr. Rihal is a professor of medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
